I looked at the "heated seat with Upfitter switches mod" and it said "yellow/blue" for the drivers side.... but I havent' done this mod.... Yet

Do you hear the "clicking" noise when the seat is turned on? and I have to assume you checked the fuses/relays?

There are about 15 Yellow Blue Wires there. Yes the Relay "clicks" and the Passenger works fine

OK look from the front of the seat and you will see the realy (I just looked to confirm this) and you should be able to test for power at the relay....

as said above look at the heated seat relay, it is basically at the front of the seat on the bottom, should have 4 wires going to it ( YE-RD, WH-BU, YE-BU and GN(maybe-unsure about green) YE=yellow, RD=red, WH=white, BU=blue.

The YE-RD is the power into the relay for the elements (hot all the time from fuse 18-SJB)
The GN? is the power wire for the switching side of realy (hot in run from fuse 42-SJB)
The WH/BU is the ground side of the relay (on/off switch grounds wire for "ON")
The YE/BU is the power out to the heater elements.

The YE/BU wire powers both elements in series going through the seat cushion first, then through the back. It changes color to GY/BK (grey/black) leaving the seat cushion element to the seat back element, then changes to BK/VT (black/violet) leaving the seat back element to ground.

A simple test lamp can check the heater element circuits, I would bet you have an open circuit in the Seat Element. check for power before and after the seat elements to see if they're open.

Ok being at work and having no tools I found the relays and I swapped out the working Passenger one with the non working driver side. Still the driver side did not work so I presume the element is broken. I will have to confirm this with a test light. If the element is broken is this something that can be repaired or simply just replaced. If it is replaced then it is easy to do. If so I will swap out the passenger with the driver. Thanks for info guys

the elements are known to break or burn in two. see it more with the cushions than backs. If element(s) are bad you have to remove the seat from truck, dis-assemble seat (seat track, trim, seat back etc..), remove cushion cover (clips and hog rings) the element is sandwiched between the leather cover and foam pad.

So 4-play do you know about the Mod where you run a upfitter switch to the relay? My sheets say to run a switch to the Yellow green, if I do that wont that by pass the switch and be "hot" all the time the switch is on?
I am fine with that I jsut dont want to mess anything up and I am going to do this today or tomorrow.... getting cold here
