37X13.5 on Factory 18's?

I might be able to get a nice deal on some 37x13.5R18 Pro Comp Extreme All Terrains. That being said, is a 13.5" wide tire too wide for the factory 18" wheel? Also, does anyone know if there will be fitment issuses on a F250 with only a leveling kit? Thanks

I had 35x13.5x18's on my 2005, they fit fine. The centers wore a little faster than the rest of the tire but they looked sweet.

37's will rub the control arms on factory rims. 11.50, 13.50, 15.50, all of the above will rub, no matter the lift. The factory rims don't stick out enough for that big of a tire to not hit the control arms at full turn. If you get aftermarket rims that stick out enough, 37's can fit with just a leveling kit and not rub. My F-350 has 2.5" pucks up front, stock F-350 blocks in the rear, and shaved cardboard inner fenders and don't rub anything with 37 x 13.50's.

Don't believe they do. His Mickey Thompson rims have enough offset to keep them off. I could be mistaken tho. I have 37x12.50 pizza cutters on stock 20's and they run the chit out the driver side control arm. Ripped my ABS line once even.

Stock 20s, Nitto Terra Grapplers, Whatever the equivalent for 35X12.50 is... Can't remember the numbers right now... Point I was trying to make is I don't think height of 37s is what needs to be worried about... The 13.50 is what I would worry about.. Also, the 12.50 technically needs an 8.0 wide wheel, so I'd assume that he 13.50 calls for more... Which could be enough to cause issue...

The control arm is flat/smooth where it rubs, so you hear it, but it doesn't do any damage to the tire, just makes a shiny spot on the black control arm. Then it'll rust. Until it rubs again and cleans it off.

37's will rub with stock rims, or rims that don't stick out enough. My 37's don't rub anything with the 5" backspaced MT rims.

The height does matter. When you turn, taller tires will also point further outward, and further inward, thus hitting the control arms if they're too tall.
