High Pitch Squeel with Hubs Engaged

Does this mean that my hubs are done? Makes the noise going down the road and the switch on the passenger side wheel also squeaks when I turn it. Thanks

How many KM? mine did that new but dealer could never find anything wrong and it quit doing it around 50,000km. Mine sounded like a rock stuck in the brakes.

Manual or Automatic hubs? Have you ruled out brake squeal completely?

They make the noise when I lock them into manual at the wheel (don't know if that makes them manual or auto, but there's a manual and auto setting). I guess its not so much of a squeal as a whine mostly at low speeds. Its done it twice but I locked them a third time and couldn't hear anything going straight down the road like before but whined when I turned. My brakes make noises when coming to a complete stop and on hills but its not the same as the hub noise. Maybe it because I've had it for 60,000 miles and never engaged the hubs manually till two weeks ago?

You have auto hubs. They'll kick in when you engage 4wd, but if you go to the tire and twist them, they're locked in full time, no matter if you're in 2wd or 4wd. The whining you hear is more than likely the full system spinning. Shafts, u joints, driveshaft, everything in front of the tcase will be spinning with the hubs locked. I would bet the whine is all your parts spinning. Nothing to worry about if you unlock the hubs when driving.
