Question Weld 17x10 wheels

I found a used set of the subject but I'm not sure if they'll fit? The lug pattern is correct. I'm just sure about the diameter.

Do I need to worry about back spacing or are all weld wheels the same?

If they do fit, is there anything wrong with 17" wheels on these trucks? Brakes getting hotter / more confined air space, rubbing, etc.

Thanks!

Garage
My 2008 SD had OEM 17 inch wheels, (see pic to the left that is with OEM17's) till I put on 18's (pick up truck tonight with new wheels and tires) ). So the question of 17's you will be fine. the 17X10 should also be fine. Good luck

Not all 17's fit over the brakes on these trucks. It's hit or miss.

2008 F250 CC SB - It all wont fit in the sig so why bother?

Assuming they do fit, except for aesthetic reasons, why are 20+ diameter wheels so popular vs 17's or 18's? I bet having more tire sidewall softens the ride over a 20 with less sidewall between the rim and road.

No reason other than personal preference and looks I believe. The bigger wheel you have the more expensive the tire. my next set will be 20s down from 24's

Although the bigger wheel may let more air in the cool the brakes? idk just a guess?

The wheels didn't work out. The guy sold them to his brother in-law or some crap after we agreed on a time to meet and swap cash for wheels. Oh well.... I'll keep looking...

Some 17's fit, some don't. Stock 17's fit, obviously. From what I've gathered, some 17's have a taper in the ID of the wheel. It makes the back of the rim smaller than the center, thus not fitting over the calipers.

I have been wanting to know for 2 years now what rims fit and what rims don't fit, but next to no one has 17's, much less test data. Me? I'd run 15's if they could fit. I don't like big rims unless the tire is so big it makes the rims look small.
