Mirror Caps

Is there a possibility of having a 1 piece mirror cover where the caps cannot be replaced? I know there's a million threads about this and they all say they are a breeze to get off. Mine do not come off and the only thing I can see is that they are not a separate piece.

the xl,xlt, lariat models have a one piece back which can be eaisly converted
to 2 piece by taking top and lower glass out and removing screws.Dont even have to take the mirror assy off vehicle. The fx4,harley,kings ranch have 2 piece mirror
caps.
