Extreme Vibration

Today i was driving down the road at about 40mph when the truck all the sudden starts jerking really bad jumping up and down with the steering wheel going left and right back and forth. i let off the gas and it stopped, but when i got back up to 40mph it continued for a while. Ive noticed that it does this more frequently when i hit a bump in the road. and its not all the time, sometimes it drives normal. couple hours ago a friend was driving in front of me and when it started doing it he said the passenger side tire was jerking left and right rapidly and the truck was just rocking with it. They said it looked almost as if the tire was about to fall off. I jacked it up and spun the tire as well as turned it left and right but couldnt see anything physically wrong. Could it be the steering shock? or the panard bar? Truck has a 4.5" icon lift with 35's. stock steering shock. no upgraded steering stabilizers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You hearing any noises from the front end during normal driving? I don't think a bad steering stabilizer would cause that much movement back and forth. Bumpsteer is gonna be pretty common without a four link or new drop brackets for the radius arms. Try and make sure all the bolts for the tie rods are tight. I know at one time my had come loose a good one and a half turns from just normal driving.

there is a loud pop when my front end hits like a dip in the road, not sure what that is either. i do have drop brackets though. all the bolts looked tight.

looking tight and being tight are a world of difference when it comes to your suspension. I Checked and I had a few today that had come loose after less than a year from my last suspension tune up.

Probably a dumb question but, are all the lug nuts tight on the wheel?

Garage
check the pitman arm nut on the steering box ,i've seen several of them back of and do this on these trucks , take the time to remove the drop bracket for the track bar so you can get on it good!

Id buy a good torque wrench if i didnt have one.. Those impact guns can end up costing you by either not torqueing enough or either too much.. Just a suggestion.. Hope you find the problem man..
