the motor is bolted in place, it is a good challenge to get this thing in place by my self, had to lift the cab about 5 inches to get it to clear properly, now getting the wiring done and the trans back up in place is the goal. wish i had a tranny jack

I'll be starting my 6.0 to 12v swap next weekend hopefully. What is the reason for lifting the cab? I thought you could remove and install without raising the cab at all. Looks like you are replacing the 7.3 with a 24v, so it shouldn't be much different than mine. Was it just to clear the crossmember with the oilpan? I'm not planning on raising my cab if I can get away with it. Let me know what you ran into as I'm doing mine by myself also. Steven.

you dont need to raise the cab to do the swap. JPcustoms has a thread about his 6.0 to 12v swap.

the motor does not fit all that easy, the chain the the top cowling will fight you like hell, when i finally decided to lift the cab it literally fell into place whith little effort. i am sure it can be done like others stated, but it is much easier to just lift the cab slightly.
