the stroke is out!
finally got the stroke removed it took me about 6 hours to get it out but at least it is out.. so now it is getting prepped for the cummins.

the motor is bolted in place, it is a good challenge to get this thing in place by my self, had to lift the cab about 5 inches to get it to clear properly, now getting the wiring done and the trans back up in place is the goal. wish i had a tranny jack

I'll be starting my 6.0 to 12v swap next weekend hopefully. What is the reason for lifting the cab? I thought you could remove and install without raising the cab at all. Looks like you are replacing the 7.3 with a 24v, so it shouldn't be much different than mine. Was it just to clear the crossmember with the oilpan? I'm not planning on raising my cab if I can get away with it. Let me know what you ran into as I'm doing mine by myself also. Steven.

you dont need to raise the cab to do the swap. JPcustoms has a thread about his 6.0 to 12v swap.

The best thing I ever did was my swap. My buddy Doug(aka stuckinmud) who loved the 6l is going to be doing one soon.
