not visible under the steel line but, there is a predriled hole, Line the right side engine mount up behind this hole , should be setting 1/4 of an inch behind the hole.

this hole is visible, line the left engine mount up in front of this hole, should be no less than 1 inch from your newly drilled hole.

(Notice) The transmission mount is in the factory set possition. Most of the people i have talked to told me that the engine and trans should be mooved back no less than 2.50 inchess. Destroked and fordcummins told me this has to be done for clreance on the clutch fan, and you need to trim the fire wall lip and reshape the fire wall under the wiper cowl for clearance for the number 6 valve cover on the cummins.I have done this befor like tey told me and instructed, it sucked, I've done this befor and its eaiser and cheeper on the new way i'll guid you on...

almost done.

light is poor but i fabed my own mounts for the dodge intercooler and the the dodge radiator to fit in a Ford 7.3L diesel core support. i'll get pics and measurements.

fabed a new piolet bolt for the clutch fan pully, this should be 3 inch from radiator or 4 inch from radiator if you don't loose the originale bolt.

flipped exhaust manifold upside down to gain clearance between the A/C box.

low light sorry but, used a 7.3powerstroke turbo down tube to gain 2.5 inch extra clerance. Cut you flange off the cummins tube and the powerstroke tube then, weld your 5.9 flang in place on 7.3 down tube. Not recomended on a hx35.

Next pics, Twin elec. fans and thermostat relay, and radiator, intercooler mount specs.

those trans mounted parking brake assembly are very poor, I blew a few on an OBS F450, Is this 1992 truck a F450? if not dump the trans mounted break and replace (The cummins will kill it if my 460 did) it with a transfer case.

If it is a F450 I would just put a Dana 80 in it and go with the tallest gears I can find.

Is it a gas or a diesel 5 speed ? big difference in gear ratios between the two.

ZF 5-SPEED MANUAL (Diesel & Gas Ratios)

Diesel Gas

1st 4.14 5.72
2nd 2.37 2.94
3rd 1.42 1.61
4th 1.00 1.00
5th 0.76 0.76

I copied this from the gear vendor web site, I think the gasser 5th gear ratio is 0.72 like the ZF 6.

The gasser ratios with a US Gear overdrive would be sweet.

Rebuilt 7.3 powerstroke zf 5 speed w/ new parking break assy.

The truck is a 1989 F-550 superduty 2X4 5-speed (460 EFI out)

Cummins Turbo. This truck also has an 18,000 lbs GVWR.

I do want to thank you on your gear ratio post that is helpfull for the next project.
