FORD A/C on 5.9

Has anyone put a Ford Compressor on a 5.9 Cummins conversion and mounted it up high and on drivers side?? Would love some detailed pics and how it was done...unless someone out there has a Cummins 5.9 High Mount A/C bracket from a Ford F-800 (PN #3930888)..Any help is greatly appreciated!!

What are you going to be putting this in? why do you want it mounted on top?

I have a highmounted A/C on mine that I am taking off but my 5.9 came out of a freightliner FL60, don't know if it is the same.

The compressor is run off a seperate v belt

Is it the high mount that moves it up above the water inlet...but still over on the passengers side?? If so i'm interested...how much do you want for it?? I'm putting the 5.9 in a 78 Ford Crew Cab 4x4. Check and see if it has this number on it. PN #3930888

nope the one I have puts the ac on top right smack dab in the center of the motor right above and in front of the first valve cover.

Sorry wish I could have helped.

BTW a 78 crew cab with a cummins will be one nice ride. we need pics.

This is the only picture I have of it right now. you can kinda see it. I just don't think there would be enough room under the hood for that beast sticking up like that.

Both of you should be running a dodge truck AC compressor mounted down on the passenger side front of the motor.

Steel,
I am planning to reuse the ford ac compressor but put it down low where the dodge one goes. I just need to figure out how to mount it. That ac is already off and so is a bunch of other stuff. getting ready to do the KDP and rear main and Valve cover gaskets.

The problem with the Dodge bracket is it mounts the compressor too low and it interferes with the frame...I either need the Cummins high mount bracket that mounts the compressor above the water neck...or i need something to mount the compressor up high...don't care what compressor...and i am still interested in the bracketry that you have for that big old ginormous compressor....even if i don't use it..or a big compressor like that...lol
