1993 f350/2002 24v

when I get this unit installed, is there a way to use a programmer with this set up. Can I wire in a obd connector or is there a system that hooks inline with the cummins ecm. thanks

vp pump . I talked to a guy and he said no problem wiring up the obd plug. I had heard that you might have to use dodge pcm and a bunch of stuff like that. I am not looking for crazy power out of this thing. 350 - 400 is lots for me

I believe that most of the programmers usually tap into the vp somehow. I'd suggest searching on one of the dedicated dodge cummins sites as there will be a ton of people who have modded their trucks.

If you are going about wiring it correctly, you would keep the OBD2 connector intact with the rest of the harness, at that point you could run a programmer such as a Smarty, or you can run something like an Edge Juice Attitude which is an inline tuner and ties into the VP pump wires.

You will be able to run just the Cummins ECM. That's all I have. You won't need a Dodge PCM unless you plan to run a 47/48RE Trans. I have my GM ECM running gauges with the original OBDII Port. I use the OBDII from the Cummins ECM to check codes since I can't run it into my CEL circuit. I have a third OBDII for my Allison. If you need the pin-out for the Cummins OBDII, just let me know. I just did mine again after I had the cab off.

I would recommend the Adrenaline if you want a programmer. Changing tunes as you go and actually doing custom tuning is pretty nice. I'll let you know how the 4K tunes as soon as the rest of my parts come in from the current project.

That would be awesome if you could give me the pin outs for the ob11 cummins connection. I was thinking about the adrenline but then I read that there is reliability issues with them, so still un decidedat this point.

1993 f350/2002 24v (frankenstien)

So this is where I am at all the old power train removed 7.3 idi zf 5spd
2002 245 h.o. cummins installed
2004 nv 5600 installed. For the transfer case I had a nv 273d from the dodge which uses a slip yoke on the output and electric shift, I also have a nv 271 manual shift from a 2005 f350 which uses bolt on yoke front and rear, the only problem was the input on the ford t-case would not mate to the 5600 output. Me and my brother disassembled both t-cases and installed the 273 dodge input into the 271 ford t-case very simple to do also the the ford output shaft is considerbly beefier. Replaced the yoke on the 10.25 sterling from the 1993 with the yoke from a 10.5 from a 2006 ford.
Installed a air to air rad from a 2004 superduty. The old ford rad has the top rad hose on the pass side and the bottom on the drivers side which is completely opposite from the cummins. After looking at various dodge cummins trucks it appears this is how they all have their rad hose configuations.I would have just used a dodge rad accept that I have a brand new ford rad. So we fired up the mill and lathe and made our own thermostat housing with the hose going straight up, for the bottom I got some mandrel bent 180 and 90 deg x 2" and we made our own bottom rad pipe, which also required a reducer hose cummins 2.25" ford 2" . I am going to use the dodge a/c compressor and it looks like I will use the condensor from a 1999 dodge 2500, I still need to find a accumaltor to tie the evap in.
Also installed a hydroboost brake system from a 2004 superduty the brake lines connected just like the oem( 2005 and newer are different ) removed the mounting plate and redrilled to fit 1993 bolt pattern shortened the push rod .
