So whats the deal with them saying the new allison can handle "UP TO" 860 ft lbs.... I assume the first chip will put this engine well near 1000 ft lbs...

Sounds like a really good frame! I hope the Ally can hold more than that though... The new 6R160 is rated at 1600 foot pounds... Glad to have more competition!

Its a 6r140, and yes, they can live at levels over 1k ft/lbs for a very long time.

So ford rated the trans at 1600 ft proof

I still think they are fugly, I started reading and had a few laughs and could tell this was a onesided article... I stopped when they repeatedly called the Ford diesel the Scorpion..... There has been lots of discussion that this New motor/transmission combo wont handle big power on tunes alone
