These results are from the 2011 trucks if you read the top line it gives you the HP and torque.
where are all these fantastic numbers from the Fords I have been reading about?
Where is all the power and efficiency the Ford group was bragging about?
It is only the first test of side by side. They must have got it wrong for a while there every second post was about the new Fords mileage and power.
What is they say about the first looser.
Dam that felt good. Just a thought!

I don't understand your post. The Chevy has higher horsepower and torque so why wouldn't it be quicker

Keep in mind the Ford is a little heavier and running 3:55 gears. Again, the GMC, has more power, lighter and running 3.73's. I sure hope it would be the quickest.

What I was referencing to was the HP and torque curve that Ford put out. You do remember the two overlay and how Ford swore up and down the numbers were not fudged but if you used a pencil the numbers did not add up.
What I said from the start was to wait and see what the facts were when the group could be tested, but no the Ford group had to boast about mileage and power numbers that were fantastic. Now the truth is coming out. This is only the first of many group meetings and all the facts will come out.
Personally I would like to see them do a test run, in B.C., I figure they would need one of each at Dodges maximum payload and tow capability. one Ford at it's max and the Chev at it's max. you could add the GMC, and also do it, with the 2500's and 3500's start at Blue River on the #5, full of fuel, maximum loads. go directly to the junction of the 97C and then to Kelowna. Up the #33 to the #3 and go east to the boarder. That would test the fuel mileage, power on the hills, Cooling systems, everything. start early and pack a lunch. None of this stopping every hour.
This wrought gives you lots of long steep hills up and down, it would be a real life test, of a vehicle. if the vehicle fails because some executive raised the numbers, without the engineering to back it up it would be shown. Just a thought!
One set of numbers does not make anyone a winner.

Would 130lbs make that big of difference?

Life changes, so roll with it, not against it.
