Test Drove LML Today. I like. I want. I have Questions.
Test drove a 2011 GMC 3500 DRW 4X4 Denali today.
Loved the new LML and the truck. Maybe not that particular truck so much though?!
I am completely confused as to the options difference between the Denali / SLT and LTZ / LT. Anyone care to enlighten?
I am looking for all options, except : Rear DVD, Navigation, Sunroof.
I would rather buy a chassis cab, and put a flatbed on, but only if the money is right, I don't want to pay $500 less and then buy a $2500 bed.

The best way is to go to the GM site and go the the build your own section, go threw the different sections and it is all there.

WT/LS is like my work truck; basic interior and may or may not have power windows, CC and manual case.
SLE/LT is like mine; cloth but loaded otherwise with either a 40/20/40 or full console, no Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE).
SLT/LTZ usually adds leather and has the full console and possibly RSE
Denali is OMG loaded but you can probably order one without RSE.
Right now demand is crazy so pricing is crazy. I don't even see a lot of discount on current stock. So you may be able to order what you want. You can use gmbuypower.com to build and find one if there is one like you want setting somewhere.

The cab/chassis is just like the other brands it is de-rated. 335hp/650tq. For the price difference between the Ford and GMC the choice for me was clear. Seems that the GMC had a lot more rebates and sticker price was even a couple thousand less on the GM. Heck the Ford dealers didn't even want to trade for a 6.4. Guess we will see what happens today, still trying to work a deal. I test drove a GMC SLT.

I am not finding a whole lot of resistance on price. This morning we are going to another dealer with about a dozen that would work.

I think inventories on these is always going to be on the low side, but I hear $5K off is doable if you are lucky.. $10K off like you'll see on year end close outs is not going to happen (and most of the closeout trucks arent' LTZ/Denali, etc anyway).. realistically a loaded LTZ/Denali is going to be $60K sticker, and a well equipped one w/o NAV/Rear DVD $56K.. take $2-$4K off depending on how well you deal on it, and that's not bad.
The most useless option if you just tow and drive on road, albeit very cheap was the Z71 since the new suspension is beefier than the 2010's Z71 anyway... and I like the softer ride of the normal 4x4 struts.. but I did opt for the protective plates that the Z71 package comes with for a mere $60..
They're all pre-installed for towing, and have 160Amp alternators.. the website is a bit misleading and the build your own truck doesn't work right.. if you want to order one, you'll have to go into the dealer.

Sticker $60,680
The dealer offer $57,700.
That price doesn't include any offers, like $1,000 customer loyalty.
