Good report on all the trucks. Ram fellas probably won't sleep tonight. New 800 ft lb cummins was going to make a big splash against the ford and GM. All 3 trucks can beat our 05 3500 duramax and that doesn't hurt my feelings.

If Ford improved their exhaust brake and Dodge upped horsepower they would pose a very serious threat to GM.

maybe the Ram needs an 8 cylinder engine with gray metal heads and short connecting rods.

I don't know about that but if they brought horsepower up to 400 they would be much closer to Ford and GM.

Thanks Mike

Mike we asked for it last year right after your rumble in the rockies article posted and you delivered. Thank you to you and your team for a great test.

I lost your email but we talked last year about the lower elevation testing. I had a few more questions maybe you could answer. Does the 4:10 gear ratio on the Ram contribute to the poor MPG it should have been about 2100rpm at 65mph as the others should be closer to 1800 rpms?

Also going down hill did your teams do any manual shift tests?

Thanks again and great job!!!

AND YOU THOUGHT CARTER SUCKED

Great article, and am glad that the Dodge was included this time. I wish they all would have had the same tire size and gear ratio's. I thought a fair comparision...all 3 great American Trucks. Jeff
