anybody have to buy the tool to reset the tpms. when rootating tires it has to relearn where each tire is. just wondering if it is worth the money to buy or just get the dealer to do it.

It should say in the owners manual how to reprogram the TPMS, I don't think you need a tool.

it states you must have a "tool." it has to be passed over the valve stem within 5 minutes of performing some computer stuff on the dash. tells you to either buy a tool or have your dealer do it.

I have an LMM with the tire monitoring system, and bought 4 extra new rims to wear out my old tires without having to swap the tires on one set of rims.
I just reset the tire sensors the normal way go the relearn section and start at the left front and either raise or lower the tire pressure, going around in a clock ways circuit, and all was good. I was told I would need to go to the dealer.
