What emission parts in LML and what H&S can do?

Hi everyone, I'm new but I have really wierd questions

If anyone is old enough to remember High Sulfur Diesel in U.S. ?

Okay the related thing is how LML can be run with High sulfur diesel im talking about 1000+ppm of sulfur.

The first question is easily you will say add H&S and delete all emission parts in the truck but does the tune affect if ULSD or high sulfur ?

the other thing is H&S doing custom tuning what can do for a custome wants to run his truck on high sulfur diesel ?

Thanks ,,,

The truck should run fine on High sulfur diesel with no mods. Where are you getting high sulfur diesel any way? 99% of stations only carry low and ultra low sulfur diesel. For custom tuning from H&S you might want to send them an email about that.

SA not supplying low and ultra low sulfur diesel, only High sulfur. I hope LML not getting major changes in the internal parts like injertors or so, then the previous LMM. Contacted with H&S and no response yet!

I worked on engines all my life and when sulfur was in fuel, Burnt valves were a common problem, the sulphur sticks to the valve face and insulates it so it does not cool and they burn.
Turbos, they were damaged because the sulphur deposits on the pistons as well, and it breaks of in chunks that destroy the turbine.
The fuel injection systems could not be upgraded to the extremely high pressures we have today because of the sulphur, I believe it becomes acidic under extreme preasure but I could be wrong, that I am not sure of.
If you go to a train yard the have trains with sulphur loads of it yellow pellets or blocks.
If you can find high sulphur fuel the mechanics in the area would love it.

So john are you saying that High sulfur is not good for LML even if I deleted the emissions parts?

I have now a gas powered truck, do you think its better to get a duramax LML and use high sulfur?

I remember the 6.5L detroit diesel engine runs with high sulfur.

Sulphur is a rock. It doesn't do anything good inside the engine, I forgot one other thing is when it gets on the side of the piston it would literally wear a grove in the liner, it coated the exhaust. Not one good thing. The lubricity, and I have been at this stuff for a long time, I know when I think about getting something lubricated the first thing I think about is jamming a rock in, NOT.
The only thing I ever saw that was caused by the lowering of the sulphur was the PT pumps throttle shaft seals would leak. That was only ones that had never been repaired and the seals changed. I saw maybe a half dozen.
I worked in a shop 6 bays and we did a lot of engines, we worked 3x12 shifts and it was very rare that there was not at least one unit with burn valves in the building.
Just a thought!
When they took the lead out of gasoline the rant was that every engine would have valve failures because the valves would wear out. What happened nothing, 95% hype, there were some that had been ground into the cast and they did fail, but how many engines have enough use to need 2 valve grinds.

If that whats really im going to face, what is the solution for having Duramax while using o
high sulfur?

Is there a way around this? Maybe there is a system that makes ULSD or LSD from high sulfur and its portable easy to use?

Im considering LMM or LML but depends if there is no problems using high sulfur on diesel engines then I will get LML new truck but if it has some problems, I better have LMM used truck and save money for the upcoming problems?

Its all about how to solve the problem of diesel engines running high sulfur
