Longevity

Looking to buy a 2011 3500 dually it's one of our company trucks and has 250000 miles on it. Just curious as to what sort of issues I could see in the near future. It drives great and power feels strong. It has been maintained to a T it's hole life. But has always had a trailer loaded down behind it. I've also never ever owned a duramax

As long as it was maintained, then there shouldn't be too many issues, besides regular wear and tear. Owning a Chev/gm isn't any different then owning a dodge or a ford, you have to maintain them all for them to work and last.

Thanks new omega. I should have been more clear with never owning one. I pretty much know what to expect with buying power stroke or even buying a dodge. I know most of the weak links and what to expect to fail down the road. I never really kept up with Chevy and the duramax to know there weak links. These trucks were maintained very well I am just a little nervous having 256000 miles if I need to be concerned about injectors or should I expect the transmission to fail... These trucks of ours are hauling a minimum of 15k a day and I've herd the Allison transmissions can be pricey to repair if needed

well the lml shouldn't have any injector issues, if it hasn't yet. I'll assume that the truck doesn't have a tune on it, so unless the operator is running the tranny hot or has slipped gears and the spin on tranny filter has been changed regularly, the transmission should be okay. If you plan on adding power then you're looking at transmission work, but that's the same for ford or dodges as well. There was some DEF freezing issues during cold weather, but that was in early lml trucks.
