It just seems that you always have a biased view towards anything but ford... thats all i was inferring
Oh heck, let him have bias towards Ford.
We'll just have more bias towards GM to make up for it.
I have been on truck forums since 1998, I was an owner of 12 Ford diesel trucks over the last 20 years and I finally switched to GM in '07 and couldn't be happier. One thing I noticed while I was on those truck forums is that most of the Ford guys are a very touchy and rough bunch. It's like they have a chip on their shoulder. When I was a moderator here for 3 years, all my time was spent breaking up fights on the Ford forums. I think the 6 leaker is what started it all. I know it did with me. So I said bye to Ford.
Now that I own a GM, I feel a lot better about my truck. I'd like to have a better payload, but I get the feeling GM is going to address that situation with this next platform. They will also have a proven diesel engine while Ford will be experiencing teething pains on a new engine built by Ford in Mexico.
I think as long as the gov't doesn't run GM into the ground, we might have a real Ford killer coming in their next truck. Our drivetrain already torches Ford's drivetrain. Now GM just needs to beef-up their chassis.
I could care less if GM is a poorly run business. If their trucks are great and they have good service on them and they employ lots of American workers, that's all I care about.
Who cares if they get the Lady Bing trophy from consumer reports for being "Green" or "enviromentally friendly" or their stock pays 20 cents worth of dividends per quarter.
