3" Wide Leaf Springs, FULLY Boxed Frame, Bigger Brakes, Bigger Axles, Exhaust Brake, Better Fuel Economy, 680 miles per tank.... chevy really hit the nail on the head with this one...

Its a shame GM didnt upgrade the Tie Rods,major weak link IMO..

its tough to tell in the pictures what they did with the tie-rods, but yes it is a shame they didnt upgrade them, but for $150 for sleeves and less than $100 for an alignment, and 2 hours its a cheap and easy fix anyone can do

Yea im aware of the need to install sleeve's as I snapped one like a pretzel in 04 on my gmc crossing a ditch with a water trailer behind me,had to have a tow truck come out to pick it up. Wasnt long after I went to fords and havent looked back.

Maybe gm thinks there thick enough for a 3/4 ton and wont bend or break,they still look the same dia. to me.

I heard of a few breaking with rather simple tasks. On the other hand mine have never broke, with some abuse, and my friends never broke, but he did crack the frame in the front. I have a set of sleeves that I need to put on.
