Punks at the tire shop

Here's a little display of what happens when the punks at the tire shop don't respect your stuff (and you can't buy these wheels new anymore)

I know how you feel, I will not allow anybody to work on my units, if I can possibly do it myself. To many times it comes back with more problems than you started with.

KT the only time I go is for new steers , I like to have them balanced , the rest I do
Fine69 they trapped a little rock under one of the tabs and forced the wheel on with a impact , gouging a 0.020 slot into my wheel , and them I had to fix it my self , not a big deal fixing it but if I hadn't checked the torque when I got home after 20 miles instead of 250 like they recomend I might have lost a wheel crashed etc

Time to have a talk with the manager. Whenever I have to take one to the tire shop I always stand right there watch them work. Left the tire shop one time and 50 miles down the road had the tire and wheel come off on a steerable lift axle on the trailer they had just put a tire on. Called the shop up and they send someone out to fix it and the service man tells me I need to call his manager cause the guy who worked on it at the shop had told him I had four stripped studs on the hub when he put it back on the trailer. So after its all fixed I go back to the shop and talk to the manager, he calls the kid in the office and confront him about this and the kid tells him he never took the tire off the trailer. Manager took him at his word. I was dumbfounded to say the least. Payed off my account in full right then and there and demanded it to be closed out. This is a large tire chain here in the northwest so I made a call to thier corprate office. Three days later I got a call from corprate telling me they looked at there security cameras and seen where kid had the wheel off the trailer. They fired the kid and have been trying to get my business back for two years now. I ran into that manager a couple weeks ago and he asked what it would take to get my business back and I told him when he was no longer with the company I would consider trying them again.

I talked to the manager and of course he was all appoligetic but he didn't come out and fix it , I had to do that , But at least they payed for my time. I guess the kid at the tire shop didn't like working on a truck older than he was.

i guess not . . . I mount my own tires then i toss them in the bed of the little truck run them in to be balanced up them haul them back and bolt them on . . .

That was before i started driving the little Jeep, not so sure it'll handle a load of 11.00-/r20's or 12.00-/R24's . . . 19.5's is a rather heavy load for it

I need a new 3/4 ton i guess . . .
