New CARiD Project - 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500

Here at CARiD, we love trucks, and Silverado is certainly one of our favorite models out there. So we've decided to go further and start our own project build using the best parts and accessories available for it on our site. Please welcome Black Chevy Silverado 2500 6.6L Midnight Edition Project by CARiD!

This truck is one of the most popular in US with a class-leading 445-horses, and 910 pound-feet of torque under the hood. However, we all know that it can perform much better. What can unleash the real beastly nature of Silverado better than performance upgrades? This is what we've decided to start our project with and cooperated with our friends from Afe. They've sent us a Power Package, designed specifically for this truck, which includes Afe Momentum Air Intake System combined with their Scorcher Tune Module. This killer combo gives our truck additional 70+ horsepower and 138 torque for easier breathing and producing more power.

Well, those numbers won't tell you anything until you can actually see and hear the final result, right? Grab some beer and enjoy, like our tech expert Greg did once he took the truck on the road.

Hello everyone! We are back with next addition to our Chevy Silverado project. It took awhile for us to decide, which way to go, but the decision was pretty obvious – a tonneau cover. Its one of the first add-ons most truck owners get for their rigs and one of the most popular questions on the truck forums – what tonneau cover to choose. Hopefully, video review from our tech expert Greg will be helpful for those, who are searching for the perfect tonneau cover on today's market with tons of options available.

Guys from BAK knows better than anyone else, that you might use your truck's bed in different ways, whether it's carrying your expensive tools, kid's bikes, outdoor equipment or anything else. Their BakFlip MX4 Premium Folding Tonneau Cover safeguard your truck bed against dirt, grime, rain and snow thanks to its heavy-duty matte aluminum construction.

Thanks to its flush-mount design, the installation of the BakFlip is a piece of cake without any drilling required - Greg tried it himself and shares his experience with the audience.

If you are looking for a hard folding tonneau cover that literally does it all, BakFlip MX4 from BAK is the right way to go! See you guys later with our next Chevy Silverado addition!

High-quality and durable performance shocks are a must for your truck if you want it to react quicker to imperfections of the road giving you a comfortable and secure ride on gravel or any other kind of terrain. That's why we've decided to make them our next add-on to Chevy Silverado build and narrowed our choice to Fox 2.0 performance chocks, which you can see on the most desert and off-road trucks.

These shocks deliver race-dominating performance in a hassle-free bolt-on package. They feature aluminum shock body, that dissipates heat three times faster than steel. Each shock has a 5/8" chrome-hardened shaft and valving that's been finely tuned to offer your truck excellent off-road performance without making your street ride too harsh. Its never been easier to ensure stability, perfect handling and superior performance for any truck, than adding a set of Fox Shocks.

Greg will show you how to do it by yourself in his new video review:

New video review on our next upgrade to Chevy Silverado build is ready! Quite predictably we've decided to go with a lift kit after Fox suspension shocks that we showcased in the previous video on Youtube. ReadyLift specializes in components for off-road enthusiasts who want get maximum ground clearance and minimum changes in the handling. The main benefit of ReadyLift Kits is that they allow you to add increased tire sizes without compromising on your truck's suspension geometry. Well, this particular kit allows using tire up to 37''.

ReadyLIFT thoroughly tests each kit to ensure that your truck will be leveled without overloading or adding excessive strain to any of your factory suspension components. Every kit comes complete, allowing you to accomplish the lift properly and safely without buying any extra components.

Watch how our tech expert Greg handled this challenge in our video review and if you haven't done it yet, subscribe to our Youtube channel!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pstnZOE2P2o

Features:

- Max Tire Size: 37"x12.50"
- With SST3000 Shocks
- Install Time: 10 Hours +/- 1 hour (excluding alignment and wheel/tire assembly)
- Recommended Wheel Size: 9" wide with -6 offset
- Lift vehicles with Leaves, coils or torsion Bars
- Retain factory ride quality
- Lifetime warranty.
