He has had three new trucks recently with the hemi and has had no problems. He parks his truck near the Yukon border for two weeks while working with no plug ins. He is not willing to be a test mule for Dodge on a new engine. I would never buy a new engine, I worked on so many that had initial severe problems, on class eights. Pick-ups with problem are worthless the 6.0 and 6.4 ford is a great example.
JUst a thought!

What would the world be like with everyone sitting on the sidelines doubting something new? You and your friends would still be sitting in a cave eating grubs. I see why you dislike republicans - typically they are leaders- leaders try new things and learn.

We all know by now you hate Ford we get it put that record on the shelf ( I know you haven't embraced CD's yet). Glad your friend enjoys his 1500 HEMI the frame is welded together by some of the most advanced welding equipment on the planet - but you contradict yourself, you said the ECOdiesel was useless but now it's he didn't want to be a test mule.

I enjoy our time together John.

PS I'm calling my insurance agent Monday to let him know my premiums are too high since my truck is worthless

First mistake is listening to a word that comes out of the mouth of anyone at a dealership. The new Rams are stellar. My best friend just took delivery of his 2014 2500 4x4 6.7 Auto Mega Cab Laramie. That truck sets the bar VERY high for Ford, GM, Toyota, and Nissan. Ford may have the market for now, but the reigning sales champs for the past 35 years have a serious contender to look out for now. In this area, the 6.0 Fords drove major sales volume to GM, but now , the 6.0 and 6.4, and the GM cheapness are both driving sales to Ram, I see it on the road daily.

The Current Truck (Oct-2013 to Present):
1999 (Early) F-350 Lariat, CCLB, SRW, Black/Tan

7.3L Powerstroke, 4R100, 4x4, 3.73, 37x13.50-18s, '05 Axle Swap, 6" Fabtech lift, GTP38 "D66" turbo upgrade, SCT 4-position chip with custom tuning by me, Straight Piped 4" down pipe through 5" dual stacks, N-Fab full length triple steps, Pro-Tech cab guard and tool box, louvered 5th wheel gate, Hella 500 Fog and Driving lamps, much more to come...
The one I'll miss, (Mar-2009 to Jan-2014):
2000 Excursion XLT 4x4

6.8L V-10, 4R100, 4.30, 285/75-18, 271whp / 388wtq
The one I won't, (Jul-2005 to Sep-2012):
2005 F-350 XLT, CCLB, SRW, 4x4 FX4

6.0L PSD, ZF-6S650, 3.73, 35x12.5-18, 4.5" Lift

I do not dislike Ford, if not for them a million mechanics would be out of work.
Any vehicle that needs continuous expensive repairs if used as they were made to, well that makes them useless to me. that would cover the 6.0 and the 6.4. the 6.7 for a unit that bragged about 400 HP and 800 torque why did it loose so bad in the Rumble in the rockies. It did not put the power to the ground and had a useless engine brake.
I worked at a class eight dealership and we had the 6.7 2 years before Dodge got it. I was less than impressed. Freightliner owned Chrysler at the time and I could have gotten a huge discount to buy the Dodge. I did not want to be continually working on the, more than likely last truck I would ever buy. I and a lot of the guys at the Cummins dealership up the street from us bought the Duramax.
Ford once again is bringing out a new engine, anouther 6.7. if the last 6.7 was the best why are they having to change so often?
You have it wrong on the republicans they are freeloaders, and deferment queens. that have absolutly no memory of what they did. when george was in North Korea did the Bomb what did george do? nothing Pakistan did the Bomb George did nothing. Russia took 2 provinces from Georgia. gorge did nothing. All of a sudden, Obama when russia takes a romanian province he is weak. They all know what a real leader would have done, but when they were in they did nothing but BLABBER.
When ronald was in the Iranian backed militias blew up 270 plus marines what did he do, sold them missiles. and invaded Grenada, and talked to his plants. Such a group of heros.
Just a thought!

What the hell was that all about?

First, you need to learn how to use commas. They are an important part of sentence structure. Proper sentence structure, thought formation, the use of capitalization, and proof reading are vital to communicating your point without sounding like an uneducated putz.

Second, why are you preaching politics on a diesel forum in a post about new trucks. Even more to that point, you live in Canada, leave the rants about the stupid decisions my fellow Americans choose to make for your wife's fruit stand customers.

Third, you end every post with "Just a thought!". This last post was OBVIOUSLY more than "just a thought". If you want to share "just a thought" try containing yourself to a single topic, or just presenting, in a clear and concise manner, your one helpful suggestion.

I'm not tryin to be a ****, but I've grown tired of the political rants by people who know nothing about the topic, offer no solution, and blindly pass out judgement. I've grown weary of keyboard cowboys professing their expert opinions and supposed wisdom and knowledge, when they can't spell or write. I've tired of the boresome **** measuring to prove a point.

John, there is a time or a place for any rant you wish to make. There are opportinities to pine profoundly on the accomplishments of your life. This is never the place for such things, which means the time also is not here. There are subforums for your political and religious views within the confines of this forum, please direct your thoughts on those topics there.

Thank you for your polite consideration in advance.

Sorry I have a habit of playing "poke the bear" when silly comments are made.

John dislikes me........ And I'm ok with that. We've been down this road before.

First off I do not dislike anybody, and when you comment on my spelling and punctuation that is right out of the Karl lutz playbook. When you have nothing intelligent to respond you come at the person. You have heard of dual citizens, I realise that may be beyond your ability. I spent my life as a mechanic and am a terrible speller. I am not a freeloader, when I make a mistake I am willing to admit it. I do not blame other people.
I have found that most Republican/conservatives are great at pedaling their BS, you never hear them bragging about the pollution laws, they passed in 2004. Or the fact that wages have not gone up since George did his tax cuts. They are great at blaming everything on someone else. or having the government paying for it.
Just a thought from someone that is not bought and paid for.
If you have a problem with me come visite, I have beer in the fridge, or what ever you think you need.
