High Flow Catalytic Converters

I'm planning on doing the injectors, head studs, tranny....thing. Does anyone know of the availability of high flow catalytic converters?

And no, gutting or "test pipes" are not an option.

Magnaflow has 2 series of Cats for diesels, they have a high performance OEM replacement series and then they have the super big bad all of max-flow/Max-cash series. Patrick and I saw both at a trade show in Feb of this year and they are very nice looking....the high end ones are shaped specific for getting flow and made of stainless, and they are available upto 5" inlet/outlet for any of you that may be that far along as to need such a thing. We just recently put on the shelf a 4" of the oem replacement style for getting our 05 F-350 only for in case we needed it for inspection...but we never needed it.

Im not sure of the legal aspects of diesel convertors, but with gasoline engines, theres a stupid law that says you cannot change the cat convertor until 5 yrs/50000 miles, becasue it is under factory emissions warranty before that time. After either of those you cna replace it with a suitable aftermarket convertor as long as it meets the requirements for light off, flow, durability and reduction.

Not sure I've ever heard that one John....

but wouldn't that cause some issue for the poor guy that had his cat plug up @ say 2000 miles when the engine screwed up somehow and dump it full of junk ???

didn't that happen to your's and you threw it away ?:
