Thumbs up New OBS Bolt on Turbo Option Coming

I am always getting request for a reasonably priced direct replacement performance turbo available for the OBS Power Strokes as there is currently only one out there that is availbale.

Well I have been working with a custom turbo company to come up with our own option for a direct bolt on replacement turbo for the 94.5-97 OBS 7.3L Power Stroke trucks.

We just finally got most everything nailed down the other day and we are almost ready to roll on these turbos soon as I find a few people interested in running some test units.

These turbos are a direct bolt on replacement that is a modified stock turbo that will flow around 1100-1150 cfm which is an additional 30%+ air flow increase over the stock turbo.

We will have 2 options for these trubos.

First option will be for the reman version where we rebuild and modify either your turbo or one of our cores. This option will be priced well under $1000.00 and will require a $150.00 core charge until we recieve your core back.

Second option is going to be for a Brand NEW stock turbo that will be modified that will require no core at all and it will be priced a little over $1000.00

The reman version will come with a 6 month warranty and the New version will come with a 1 year warranty.

These turbos are intended to be used with injectors no bigger than Stage 2s as they are not intended for anything over 40psi of boost.

It is also looking as if we possibly might be able to offer the same options for the early 99 SD turbos and the 99.5-03 SD turbos also but the prices may vary slightly as I have not gotten anything set in stone for these yet. We will also need to find a couple people interested in test units for these turbos also.

I still have a few things to work out but if you have any questions or are interested in possibly getting a test unit then please PM, email or call me and I will be happy to discuss it further with you.

I am not sure what we will be calling this turbo option yet so if you have any suggestions then lets hear them.

Thanks,
Darrell

WOW.... I have gotten several calls, emails and PMs on this turbo.

I have gotten 2 for sure OBS trucks and one possible early 99 and I am going to have to sort through everyone else and decide who else and how many have the mods I would like to see these tested with and who else will agree to the conditions of being a tester.

I will add that this is not going to be a overnight thing as I am going to test this turbo myself on a pulling truck to take it above and beyond what it is being built for to see just how much abuse it will take before breaking.

We are looking at the end of September or first of October before I will be ready to start issuing testers.

Thanks for all the replys and interest and if you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks,
Darrell

I would love to be an early 99 tester if being in Oregon doesn't hurt anything. I know how to work on this truck but have never been a tester. How much would it cost? I am going to put a 6.0 intercooler, TS 6 position chip(instead of Evo.) , and do CCV here shortly.

early 99 with some stuff on it
