AMSoil

Any of our SV's sell AMSoil products? I have a really, really simple order: 1 bottle of friction modifier for the rear axle. I neglected to pick up a bottle when I purchased my diff fluid and have had a hard time getting a hold of my contact.

Thanks for the help!

I believe DJ is an AMsoil dealer.

DJ is an amsoil dealer... however... I think the amsoil doesn't even need the friction modifier in it... When I changed gears I put amsoil in mine w/ out friction modifier and no problems yet...

I'd been wondering if I could do that -- I've heard people answer both ways.

If it helps, I'll be running OEM 4.30's and a TruTrac.

Synthetics do not require friction modifiers. If you read the label, I believe its already in there.

hh -- I'm running 37's on 22's.

The guy who did my install said "Absolutely DO NOT run a friction modifier with the TruTrac. Its not a limited slip or a posi and the friction modifier will damage it."

dfuser -- Isn't almost everything that goes in the diff a synthetic? I think that's what Ford puts in from the factory.

FWIW, I will not be running a friction modifier.

That's funny. Snake (Mike) is our friend and has visited our home. Yet, he didn't know we were Amsoil distributors. Glad you don't need it! Say "hi" to Angel & Jen.

Thanks,
Vivian

lol Yup, never knew! But I know where I'm getting my stuff from now on!

We still have some space here at the house with your name on it -- you have to bring the family down so we can go out to Anna Maria Island.

Thanks again for everything -- once my gears get broken in, its time for some tuning!
