can you get a 8" stack down to a 5" inlet?

You can, I did it once. It was not cheap.

I seen a truck in Idaho that was a yeller truck with blue 8" mitre stacks.... I think it was in some diesel mag in a pic some months ago, from the Bully Dog Days of summer.... IIRC the owner of the yellow 3rd gen ram lives in boise somewhere, and his plates were "CLEATUS"
