Amsoil has a new Surcharge in place starting in May

To all TheDieselGarage Members
Amsoil has a new Surcharge in place. Even though Amsoil is a true Synthetic the cost of manufacturing in the last several years have seen an unprecedented rise in oil and energy costs for this country and the world. The rising costs of due to recent large increases in the costs of raw materials and associated costs of bottles, packaging, hard parts, freight, additives, basestocks, packaging, freight, energy itself, and just about everything we buy has significantly impacted our business, and in an effort to keep pace AMSOIL was forced to implement numerous price increases over the last 4 years. By the time our price adjustments are effective, we have already suffered more cost increases that require the near immediate planning of yet another price increase.
This is an energy surcharge program is being implemented effective May 1, 2008. The surcharge will be determined and set on a monthly basis and applied to all programs in the US and Puerto Rico. In Canada, this surcharge will be implemented in an expected range of 3 to 5 percent for all programs effective June 1, 2008. For the month of May the energy surcharge will be 5 percent and calculated on the product total after applicable discounts.
So if I have quoted you a price it has changed.
Sorry to any of you that this affects any if you have looked at Amsoil recently those prices have changed also. Check with me before you order to find out the final cost.
