99 model 7.3 feul milage

I'm looking at a 1999 ,7.3 truck to buy but the owner says it only gets 13 MPG. Is there any help for reasonable improvements? Or why such bad MPG? Thanks

Welcome to the site and you might want to post in the 7.3 section, there's alot of cool and helpful people here that can help you out..

If I may I have acouple of questions for you to better answer your question.
Have any mods been done to the truck? Is it used for hauling, towing, etc. Do you know what gears he has in the rear end? Rims and tire size? Mileage?
I know it's alot of questions but there are alot of could be's to cause it as well.....

Thanks I will ask the seller those questions. I'm not too good with a computer and I'm having a hard time finding the 7.3. section.

Good luck with the truck. The 7.3 is a very popular motor for it's reliability, I love mine.
