will a wicked wheel work on a early 99 250 stroke

I have a 1999 f250 power stroke and was wanting that turbo to scream, my friend has an 03 with mbrp ex. and his is great it sounds like a plane. Well i bought the same system excpt. mine is from the turbo all the way back and it didnt really make a huge diff. in the sound quality so i was wondering what i could do to make it whistle a little louder without dropping a huge chunk of change. Also how do i tell if my truck is the early or late model 99 and what is the diff. between the two thank you guys very much:thanks:

Look on the door and see when the build date was. If it says anything in 98 then you have an early 99...much like mine. IF after 12/98 you have a late 99 model.

The early 99 turbine wheel is basically the wicked wheel. If you have an early 99, open up the intake with something that allows better breathing. You have already opened up the exhaust.

Mine whistles very nicely

Ok The early 99 trucks have the V8 Powerstroke Badges on the front of the front fender, 99.5 and later have the Power Stroke badges on the doors. Also the Turbo is much smaller on an early 99. If you have an early 99 then you already have a wicked wheel, Just a smaller Turbo.

You can't really go by the fender badges. They started going to the door badges before the went to the bigger turbos...so there are a few early 99's with door badges.
