Connecting Rod Release

In the fall of 2008 we started drawings of the prototype connecting rod for the 6.0L Ford. We first started with a I beam design but later changed our minds to a H-Beam style to save reciprocating mass along with ease in the heat treat process. We then teamed up with R&R racing located up the road from us and put together this piece.

Water jet from Mil spec aircraft quality double re-melt E4340AQ chromoly steel. Similar to 300M Specifications Fully Machined Billet, Not Forged. Triple Tempered, Surface Peened, through hardened cryogenically treated and balanced +/- 1.0 Gram utilizing ARP fasteners. AMPCO 45 bushings, Magnaflux inspected and Rockwell tested.

These photos are from testing in March, 2010.

We are proud to say this is another part that will keep you running with the best!

Look for us on Facebook! Where we posted these photos back in March.

thanks again!
