preferred drag racing weight class ??

seems there's more pullers here than racers but will try this anyway. In the interested of building competitive racing classes at the track that will draw racers and to help gauge the interest for each class, please give your opinion.

This will be a fuel only class... no water, NOS, propane...etc

i say 6000 because i think it would be more competetive. it would be a pretty easy class to make weight in too.

Ok so like 7K would that be minimum or maximum or? Seeing how my single cab weighs 6800 I would like something around that, that way we don't have to see trucks that are striped, and hacked up!

I would say 7K minimum also. That would allow closer competition between a larger section of trucks.

Good point. I didnt think of the Ford extra ~1000lbs before I voted. I was thinking more "what weight would be ideal for drag racing". 7K is a good average for drag racing. 8k is a good average weight for pulling.
