another exh. ques.

my boss has a bone stock lbz and i want to cut the muffler out and put a piece O pipe in place...good or bad idea? it shouldnt be too loud or will it? :

Shouldn't be an issue. I've talked to people with straight pipes, and they say its not much louder than stock, unless they floor it..

If you get on it it can be pretty loud, but drive it normal and it'll be comparable with any 12v.

it probably wont be terribly loud, not bad for the truck either

1996 Gmc k2500 4x4 6.5 turbo diesel, with mods Blew the head gasket, put all new heads, valves, injecotrs gaskets etc on the truck only to get it together and find out it had no oil pressure, and sounded horrible (pry a spun bearing). SOLD

Cutting out the muffler only will not give you a big noise difference, unless you take th cat out to.
