0-60 mph times?

I was reading diesel tech, and they have a 06 crew short bed 4x4 they are going to build up.. anyway they did performace test first, said the truck ran 13.22 seconds to 60 mph.

This seems way way way to slow. They then did the PPE programer,

stock 13.22

Stage 1 12.23
Stage 2 11.10
stage 3 9.89
stage 4 9.29
MBRP exhaust stage 2 10.02
MBRP exhaust stage 4 8.51

So is there something wrong with that truck? I mean the gas trucks run run's 8's to 60 mph.. and they have lot less hp and tq.

I figured a PPE truck would he a LOT quicker than 8 seconds to 60 mph with almost 1000lbtq tq. We ran my 04 2500 crew last night, 4x4 4:10 gears last night 4 times. 8.3, 8.6 8.2 8.5 on back to back runs. which would give it an average of 8.4 seconds to 60.

So in real world numbers if that is correct on the D max then most suv's are still quicker than the tuck, a stock h2 which is SLOW, is 9.1-9,4 seconds..

So what give guys?

IM not bashing just wondering...

Was it a boosted launch? Did they use 4wd? Do they have any transmission mods?

It doesent say,

Even not boost launched it should be faster than that.

Ive drive D maxes before stock and there is no way they run 13's to 60.

Heck my wifes armad run the 1/4 in 15.0 @90 mph and its freakn datsun.. I know the weight is off, hers is like 6500lbtq but its only 305 hp and 350lbtq..

I think they have a broke truck...

You can do your own 0-60 test if you have a LT truck.

Go to timmer, reset it to zereo, Then Hold down the <- button on the steering wheel. When let up on the button it starts counting second.

So Let up and floor it at the same time. Im sure its not 100% correct but even if its a half a second off it would be no where close to 13..

No way... stock LBZ's run 15-16 seconds in the 1/4 mile... and they're in the 80+ mph range...

You must be reading it wrong or they must be posting something wrong.

As far as this goes, I get to the 1/8th mile mark before 8 seconds and I'm doing 85+ at that point with my EFi tune.
