Chevy front and rear diffs

I got a buddy that got a 2006 chevy duramax, and were gonna change the oil in the diffs and I don't know what size they are. Im assuming the rear is the 10.5 and the front is 9.25? Also are the gaskets reusable or will he need silicone? I don't know alot of the chevy trucks so Im kinda in the dark on some of this.

Thanks for the help!

They are the same as in your Dodge. The front is an IFS 9.25 and the rear is a 11.5. The GM version has a drain plug for the rear axle, same with the front. The cover on the rear is just sealer, no gasket.
Just drain and refill and your done.

Rear should have a drain plug in the housing. No need to pull cover.

I pull the cover, just because I like to clean it all out with some brake cleaner, then silicon it up, slap the cover on and refill.
