Does it only do it on acceleration?

Odd noise

Ya it gets louder as you accelerate and changes when it shifts.

Assuming you are not just talking about turbo whistle, although I doubt it since It is hardly noticeable on my '07.

I have no idea, won't hurt to check the boots to make sure they are tight, and make sure the air filter is in good.

LBZ??? I've changed some turbos on them for that very noise. only really does it on acceleration, not much at all on idle and it was still there with the belt off. Take the intake boot off the front of the turbo and give the shaft a wiggle.

Sounds to me like the normal turbo whistle. How long has it been doing it?
