I put a Reese Towbeast hitch on the 2005 truck today. It is a real monster of a hitch, quite a heavy sucker. Makes the junk GM puts on as the stock hitch look pretty lame. I know that hitch is supposed to be rated for 12K with weight distribution but I think it really would have too much flex to handle it.
With the new trailer I did not want any chances. 12K and 1200 pounds TW deadweight and 14K with 1700 pounds TW with weight distribution. I will try to get some photos up soon.
Once I get the Roadmasters on the truck I will be ready for the first tow. :smoke:
You know, they look weak and do flex a bit.... but I pulled 21k off of my 02 hitch. I know it was stuoooooopid, my buddy was in a jam. ...........PICS NEEDED as well as the mounting insrkutioins.
So far the trailer is working out well but there are quite a few things that I have been putting up to my standards on it. I have not been recommending TNT, in fact I still have my case open as well.
There are still a few things that Tony needs to deliver on for me and I have been getting the same communication as you.
I say pull the stickers off take picture and mail it to him with a note letting him know that when he resolves your issues you'll be glad to put a new set on for advertisement purposes...
