Need some help truck dying

my dad just bought a 02 duramax with the 6 spd manual. it also has a juice with attitude. when you are driving at any given time the truck will die, the tach will start jumping, and the battery light flashes in the message center. once you pull over to the side of the road, the truck will start back fine as nothing happened. can anyone help us with this problem? thanks

Start by removing the EDGE and monitor and see if it still happens. Been ALOT of problems with EDGE's stuff causing stalling and no starts.

1995 GMC 2500 SUBURBAN, DURAMAX/ALLISON, 3.42 gears, 261 T-case, Trans has a mild build with ALOT of help from MIKE L. which included ALTO's for C1-C4, PI ML converter, DIAMONDEYE 4" exhaust, CORSA muffler, AFE stage 1 dry filter, EFILIVE, KENNEDY single pump, pump rub kit

When u find out let me know too..... Mine did it before I ever put the edge system on and it does it once every 10K miles. Mine seems to die right after I have let up on the accelerator like going up a hill then getting to the top or getting on it to pass someone then get in front of the person and it dies. Usually just throw it in neutral and hit the key and fires right up and don't miss a beat and keep on rolling. No codes at all. Little gremlin running around.
