fuel problem

I have 2003 with 160000 miles and when i put the pedal to the floor it feels like it runs out of fuel and shuts off. I took it to the dealer and they said it was the fuel filter housing does this sound correct? I am wondering because i cant see any leak

More than likely its a problem of air leaking into the fuel system rather than fuel leaking out

are you 100% positive that it is the fuel filter housing? have you changed the fuel filter lately? the bleed screw is made of plastic and can easily crack or become damaged if you over tighten it, also if you dont get the filter properly seated and tightened it will cause air intrusion as well

i really dont see anywhere it could be leaking from and i have made 100 percent sure the filter is seated right. I guess its just somewhere on the housing? I dont know anything else it could be
