Clear the codes and back the power down. Once you limp it, it will limp easier and easier each time it limps. And NEVER up the power levels and then hammer it. Always give it time to learn the new settings as you gradually get on it more each time. The ALLISON is a highly adaptive trans and does not take well to sudden changes in tuning. I would reccomend you start saving for a trans if you want to be able to run it on the highest setting again without it limping.

1995 GMC 2500 SUBURBAN, DURAMAX/ALLISON, 3.42 gears, 261 T-case, Trans has a mild build with ALOT of help from MIKE L. which included ALTO's for C1-C4, PI ML converter, DIAMONDEYE 4" exhaust, CORSA muffler, AFE stage 1 dry filter, EFILIVE, KENNEDY single pump, pump rub kit

The trans will go into limp mode once it senses excessive slip in either the clutches, or torque converter. Normally torque converter slippage will simply result in a loss of lock-up, but slippage in the clutches will give you 4th gear and reduced engine power.
