Can you put a variable geometery turbo on a LB7?

Yes it is possible to put a late model variable turbo on an LB7, but why is the real question? IIRC it involves swapping in the correct up-pipes and base for the turbo to mount to. Then you have to either run a homemade wastegate controller to control boost which would work similiar to your current wastegate set-up, or run a FLEECE controller to run the servo for the VVT mechanism(I for one wouldn't run a FLEECE product again after my experience with them).

agreed, a turbo with a larger inducer wheel, and smaller exhaust housing will give more flow with better spooling characteristics over the stocker

Im pretty sure PPE has a turbo vane controller as well... but dont quote me on that

the cost of setting up a VVT is going to be a whole lot steeper than getting a bigger turbo
