Injector warranty

Does anyone know if this warranty is transferrable???

yes '03 might have issues. it wasn't untill the '04.5's and the LLY did injector issues go away.

injectors

in forestburg i have 132000k on this motor one owner says never had any trouble and nothing ever done to motor can u tell me app. how many kl. or miles they started having trouble thanks in adv.

there is no set time line when the issues start. I don't know a whole lot about all the issues.

All of the injectors on all LB7's were faulty. Around 08 or so they revised the check balls and ball seats. This fixed some issues. Cracked bodies are unpreventable and can happen at any time. My advice is to see if the truck has the latest injectors in it. If so and doing the work yourself, test the return rates individually and visually (safely) inspect for cracked bodies, then just replace the bad ones.

It is not technically a warranty. It was a special service policy, and yes it was transferable. GM knew they had a problem so they stood behind it. The policy is up on almost every truck, but if you need injectors, haggle the dealer a bit. Many are doing "in good faith" repairs at a fraction of the cost.
