2001 Fair Price?

I'm looking to get into my first diesel, so I posted the vin here the other day and hope to drive the truck tomorrow. It is a 2001 Duramax CC/SB, 4x4, red, with leather seats, automatic, plastic bed liner, nerf bars, and 186k miles.

The car lot is asking $13,900 for it now and says the prior owner told them he did the injectors, but I don't know when or who did the work. They say no receipts, and the prior owner hasn't called me back to discuss the truck. I have a 2003 5.3L 4x4 regular cab with low miles, and i don't want to pay too much over what it's worth to get into an older duramax. But, the CC is a big plus for me. What do you all think is a fair price on this Dura?? Thanks

Sounds not bad, a bit high maybe. Checked the price on car value site, it said $12075cdn. If there is room to haggle go for it.

Old thread but, what you will find is that for a perfectly good running straight body crew cab 4x4 Duramax of any year with under 200,000 miles bottoms out near $10,000. Things like interior package, accessories and others will affect the price. Subtract some money for extended cabs and long beds. They are both worth less. Subtract even more for regular cabs.

Anything listed under 10 is bare bones, broken or worn out.
