Hello all!

Anyone had a crank sensor go bad? Truck is running great but I’ve had some starting issues. Nothing major until a few nights ago. A little back story; I started having cold start issues initially, which I diagnosed, confirmed, and replaced a bad glow plug relay. However, even after replacing glow plug relay it’s been harder to start than usual, regardless of temp, but seems to be worse in the cold. I do live in Montana so it is COLD, but my truck started like a champ last winter even if it wasn’t plugged in. Fast forward to new symptom, a few nights ago after turning it off for about 15mins or so, it wouldn’t restart. Engine was still plenty hot, it sounded like air in the lines, just cranking over and no start. Started once briefly and sputtered out after priming(again like air in the lines). Primed again to 6lbs positive pressure, cranked over several times, finally started and ran perfectly the next 1 1/2 hours home, then restarted after getting home with no issues. There’s no visible leaks, fuel filter head has been rebuilt, almost the entire fuel system is practically brand new, has a lift pump, doesn’t seem to be actually loosing prime. I’m thinking crank sensor, but I’ve always thought a crank sensor would be no start period. No check engine light, I haven’t scanned it yet for any pending codes. It’s also intermittent so far, I haven’t had any no start issues since, just slow starting. I’m really trying to get to the root of the problem, not just throw parts at it. Any experience, or suggestions on troubleshooting appreciated!
