AEM Brute Force intake opinions

Just looking for a few opinions, right now I am running a swissed stock air box with Amsoil EA air filter. I have found a pretty low priced AEM Brute Force intake assembly with cleaning kit and would like to know if I would be just wasting my money on it?

Waste of money on a stock or near-stock truck. Invest in an exhaust...that will actually help.

I have a 5 in exhaust that is straight piped no muffler and the kitten was also lost at the time of install. The factory air box is swissed with an Amsoil EA filter in there. Truck has boost and pyro guages and a chip that I am going to find and indentify tonight at the shop. So with what I already have in the truck, would the AEM be a good buy for $160 delivered? Reason I ask is because I dont want to put junk on my nice new truck. This thing runs great since the headgaskets have been replaced, so I want to take care of it. Not throw junk on it.

Thanks,
Tony

I have a 5" exhaust also witht he AEM Brute Force intake and really like it. Its not as big as I would have liked, but I really like the dry flow filter and the chrome intake tube!
