DIY Clear headlights

I did the DIY clear headlight mod and the headlights worked great, very simple. But the bottom housing (its a GMC) I cant get the orange part to come off. I pried and pried and pried, I finally just glued the cover back on and said forget it, I just knew I was going to break it and have to buy new ones.

Does anyone know any tricks to getting that orange part out of the bottom housing?

Thanks in advance

I did. Thats how I got the adhesive around the housings to break loose in the first place. I got the cover off the housing easy. But I think the orange piece is glued to the face of the clear piece.

This is the bottom housing, daytime funning lights, etc, not the headlights.

I got the orange piece out of the headlights easy.

I just cant break that other piece loose.

Use a heat gun. Its glued to it just like the clear cover was to the housing. Heat it up and it should come off just as easy.
