Blowin Fuses

I have a problem with my cig plug blowin fuses. Has anyone had a problem with this? Or does anyone have any suggestions?

I have to put in a good fuse to tune it, then I will put the shot one back in there so I don't waste fuses. But today I tuned it and left the fuse in it just to see well soon as I pushed in the cig plug it went. Even put bigger ones in there and still blows.

Thanks.

Somehow its probably shorting to ground somewhere in the wiring or the cig outlet itself

I just pulled the cig plug out and left it out and not had any more problems. Must be a bad plug. The outlets works fine with phone or gps hooked up. I'm not worrying with it now since the thing is working fine.

fuses

I have an 02, and the power outlet fuses blow as soon as I plug something in. The lighter outlet works fine. I can't find the short, and get nothing from the code reader. I was told at eh dealer it's a common problem, but they wouldn't tel me the fix without charging me $800 to fix it. Any ideas?

The outlet works? just blows when you use lighter element? The element goes bad. It's not common, but it happens.
