'04 question

My buddies truck will start for about 3 seconds then die, and then do nothing but crank after it dies. Sometimes he will try it later on and it will will start and stay running. Its also kind of hesitant when he floors it, which could indicate clogged fuel filters... Is there any other common problem that could cause these symptoms?

Garage
your probably right on with the fuel filter being clogged, change it and then see what happens afterwards

Sometimes the black Bleeder screw will crack and leak air into the filter and cause it to die. Try pumping the little primer til its rock hard and look for fuel leaks around the filter and by the FICM and the cp3. I had a problem with my supply hoses dry rotting.
