Need help

My neighbor told me his truck died on him in WV. At this point I have no other information. He has an '02 GMC duramax/allison. I'll talk to him tomorrow to see exactly what happened but I wanted to get some information on the duramax. What are some things to look for? He thinks it might be injectors. I know nothing about duramax's so I need your expertise.

Can anyone tell me what some of the more common problems are with this engine. I'll see my neighbor tonight. I'd lik to have some suggestions for him. Right now he is at a loss.

he may be right. injectors.

Find out if he has done anything recently.... like fuel filters.

Life changes, so roll with it, not against it.

Got some more information. He said the truck is running fine but he's getting fuel in the oil. It's so much fuel that after driving for a while it's pouring out of the blow by tube. After driving 5 miles he lost almost a gallon of oil and a bunch of fuel.

Sounds like a cracked injector body, exact same thing happened to my girlfriends dad, he cracked 2 injector bodies and was filling the crankcase with fuel, i would advise him NOT to drive it with that much fuel in the oil
