Engines...

Hey we have two local pullers that both are down from puked motors. Neither one have had any luck finding a used replacement.. Does anyone here have a lead on any... One of the guys dropped a valve and wrecked the cylinder bore.
The other hydro-locked it. Outside of bent rods I'm not sure what his other issues are.. But either way both want to have a "do over" with another engine..

Also anyone have any experience with puttin a liner in a bad hole..
I'm not a big fan of the idea. Bit if he can't locate a motor this week is is going to tell the machine shop to have at it..

Wisconsin---

He found one that was in a wreck 110,000 miles.. Hit hard on passenger side. The guy wanted 2K for the engine.. He offered him 1700.00 owner would not sell. He called him back up today and told him he will take it for 2K. The guy told him is already been sold.. I think he just pissed the guy off with the 1700.00 offer..Danm when you can't find one why be cheap and loose it..

Have them contact Mark Hucksdorf at www.hdiesel.com. Mark will know where there are some used LB7s around.

Just curious...what mods have these guys done to their engines that they blew them up? Dual fuelers and big tunes on stock internals are asking for trouble.

Thanks.. I'm not sure what they all have for mods...but they are doing their own tuning...They are pushing these things hard and in the danger area. They know that but they want to win the 130.00 purse at the pulls..
We have three of these guys all friends. They pretty much dominate the local pulls.

I wouldnt call it "dominating" if they blew up their engines.

I'll bet they've run their pulse width and timing skyhigh, which spells eventual death to the engine.
