Rust in the injector inlets

Hello
I have a situation with rust packed in the injector inlet's on an 02 Duramx. I have heard that GM has a bulletin about this, but I have not been able to find it. Does anyone know anything about this.

Thanks

GM has a bulletin out for injector troubles but I dont beleive its about rust. The injector warranty on the LB7 is 7 years/200K so you might still be under warranty but probably not.

How did the rust get into the fuel system? Did the truck sit for a long time? The fuel filters on these trucks are very good at pulling junk out.

did the truck have head gasket problems? cause I've heard that coolant and oil can leak at the injectors and that might be the cause of the rust now.

The rust is not IN the fuel system.

The rust is from the line. Moisture collects around the nut and as you remove the fitting from the injector, it all falls into the inlet of the injector. A proper fix would be to take a small bead of silicone and seal the area between the hex and the line. This will prevent moisture and debris from collecting in there.
